Our Story

Toby was born and raised in Sweden by a talented blacksmith and fiery teacher. In 1987 he seized the opportunity to travel to the USA and became an exchange student at Grand Junction High School. After meeting an astonishing brunette his senior year, Toby decided to make Colorado his forever home. Toby spent years working in every field of construction you can imagine, and in 2002, fulfilling the American dream, he started his own business, Covenant Homes Inc. The very successful residential remodeling company marched through the Great Recession of 2008, and in 2010, Toby grew his vision, and Covenant Buildings, LLC came to life.

A great believer in the theory that, “There is no box” Toby spends every day dreaming of vast possibilities and working to make them become reality. When he isn’t envisioning the future, Toby deeply invests in the relationships around him, including his precious family, young adults in his church, employees, and customers.

Dan has been with us for around a decade, managing all of our residential projects. If you come to us for a remodel, he is the one to make sure the job is done right! Bringing varied experience and practiced organization to the table, there isn’t a single detail missed. Dan’s intentionality and pointed focus deeply affect every project in his care. From bidding and planning new remodels to supervising them to the finish line, your dream is in excellent care.

Dan spends much of his time outside of work with his lovely wife and three children. In his spare moments he enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors.

Emilie has been our Head of Janitorial since July of 2022, though she has worked with Covenant on and off since 2015. She is a born and raised Grand Junctionite, and takes pride in helping businesses within the Valley stay well maintained, clean, and beautiful, with the help of her amazing team. Whether you need nightly janitorial services, carpet cleaning, power washing, parking lot maintenance and more, Emilie and her team would love to take part in keeping your business looking polished!

When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, movie nights with friends, and eating sushi any chance she gets. Most often, you can find her drawing while curled up on the couch with her husband and pets.

Dan spends much of his time outside of work with his lovely wife and three children. In his spare moments he enjoys hunting and spending time outdoors.

Parker has been with us since early 2023 and has been keeping the office running smoothly ever since! If you choose to give us a call, he will be the first voice you hear. His job is to make sure that your calls get to the best person for your project, and that the office runs smoothly so that the project managers can focus on you!

A Colorado native, Parker moved to Grand Junction when he was eight years old and has been here ever since. He grew up around Toby and his family and has been delighted to get to work more closely with them.
